Z-Boyz Gen. I. 1976-77 Z-Flex was one of a handful of skate companies finding its way during the infancy of the skateboarding industry. With its well known Z-Boyz skate team, some better known for surfing, rather than skateboarding, they morphed a surf style into what today is known as "Old School" pool skating. Del Mar Skate Contest The Del Mar contest was the monumental experience for the skateboarding world. The Z-Boyz made a huge impression with their aggressive yet fluid surf style which placed them high in the contest and left a dominating impression amongst the rest of the skateboard industry. The Z-Boyz, the Del Mar Skate Contest, and Z Flex Skateboards set skateboarding on the road that it is on today. |
