The HB Eve is a conceptual Single Fin design by Kye Fitzgerald and Brandon MacDonald The Eve combines a Straighter Rail into the tail with a Single Fin for driving longer traditional lines on the open face of the wave. The Wider Plan Shape through the nose with the thickness distributed further forwardin the board creates volume under the surfer’s front foot and upper body when paddling, to assist in wave catching, speed and momentum. There is also a flat stretch in the Rocker beneath the surfer’s feet, a design feature Kye Fitzgerald has translated from surfing Terry’s original hand shapes.
This So Cal Fish has a reduced rail length by incorporating wings in the tail plan shape. This reduced rail length in the water increases rail release and performance, it also reduces the area in the tail, which helps increase drive and stability in a tight beach break style pocket. The 'Twinzer' Fin set up is also specifically incorporated to further the rail to rail performance of this board.
