Patagonia Wetsuits: Warmer, More Environmentally Conscious
Patagonia wetsuits use the highest quality Japanese neoprene. It has a 98% closed-cell ratio, which adds dead air space and with it, warmth.
Patagonia's patented fabric construction incorporates a suit lining that blends merino wool with recycled polyester to trap more insulative dead-air space and quickly wisk moisture away from your skin (U.S. Patent No. 7395553).
As a result, Patagonia's R2 (mm) suits will keep you as warm as a standard 3mm - 4mm suit, without the weight and bulk, in water ranging from 12 - 18 degrees C
Patagonia use chlorine-free wool, recycled polyester, PVC-free kneepads and thinner neoprene layers (without sacrificing warmth retention) to reduce our impact on the environment.
